Job Summary

The team leader is responsible for the overall performance of their team. They set goals and expectations for the team, provide coaching and feedback, and work with team members to resolve issues. The team leader is also responsible for creating a positive and productive work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities of the team leader position include but are not limited to the following: -Ensuring that team members are adhering to company policies and procedures -Monitoring team members’ performance and providing feedback -Tracking team members’ attendance and productivity -Motivating team members to achieve their best -Resolving conflicts within the team -Communicating with other departments or teams to coordinate work -Developing and implementing plans to improve team productivity

Supervisory Responsibilities

The team leader position is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and coordination to a team of retail sales associates. The team leader supervises and Motivates team members to meet sales goals set by management. They also resolve conflicts within the team, provide coaching and training to develop team members’ selling skills, and collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations. The team leader works closely with the store manager to ensure that company policies and procedures are followed. They also report any concerns or issues to the store manager.


A team leader is a person who provides guidance, instruction, direction and leadership to a group of other individuals (the team) for the purpose of achieving a common goal. As such, the leader must have a clear understanding of the goals and objectives of the group and be able to provide motivation and support to the team as needed.

A team leader is typically responsible for:

-Developing and communicating the team’s goals and objectives
-Planning, scheduling and coordinating work activities
-Assigning tasks and responsibilities to team members
-Monitoring individual and team performance
-Providing feedback, coaching and mentoring to team members
-Resolving conflicts and problems within the team
-Reporting on team performance

Work Schedule

The team leader position is a full-time, exempt position requiring 40 hours per week. The team leader may be required to work additional hours on an as-needed basis. The typical work schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm; however, the team leader may be required to adjust their schedule to meet the needs of the team.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.


The travel team leader position is responsible for overseeing the travel department and ensuring that all travel arrangements are made in a smooth and efficient manner. The team leader will work closely with the travel department staff to ensure that all travel arrangements meet the needs of the company and its employees. The team leader will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with travel suppliers and negotiating contracts.

Required Education and Experience

Preferred Education and Experience

In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed above, the team leader may be required to perform other duties as assigned by the company. These duties may include, but are not limited to, leading team meetings, training new team members, and serving as a liaison between team members and management. The team leader position is a vital role in any company, and the individual in this position should be able to handle all aspects of the job with confidence.
